Connected hardware and embedded systems
HOLK Devices covers the electronics that sit between a machine and a platform. The active project is HOLK TECH Connect, a gateway that lets a printer owner link a machine without placing workshop credentials on a public page.
Connect is real engineering work: device enrollment and a printer link are being built. The picture on this page is a concept illustration, not a photograph of a shipping product. Private keys, tokens and device identifiers are not published here.
A small housing and local controls. The photo is a concept illustration.
An ESP32-class board runs the gateway firmware.
Enrollment creates a device identity. The private key is not published.
The gateway speaks to the workshop printer.
RentA3DPrinter is the first platform this link serves.
What this area covers
- An ESP32-class controller for the gateway, with a small local interface.
- A device identity created during enrollment, kept on the device rather than printed on the website.
- A printer communication link aimed at a workshop machine, currently exercised with a Bambu Lab class printer in development.
- Firmware and session handling so the platform talks to an enrolled gateway, not to an open printer port on the internet.
Applications
The first application is the printer gateway for RentA3DPrinter. Other custom devices are not announced.
